Negotiations with the Director of the UNESCO Regional Office were held in Ashgabat

On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, negotiations between the Director of the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty Amir Pirich and Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova were held in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. In the course of the negotiations, the parties emphasized the dynamics of development of effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNESCO. The sides touched upon topical issues of implementation of the agreements reached earlier.

The parties also confirmed mutual readiness to continue the development of the Country Action Plan for 2025-2027. It was also noted that Turkmenistan has made a financial transfer to UNESCO's account in accordance with the Framework Agreement on the Establishment of a Trust Fund.
