On January 7, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev and khakims of velayats, during which the issues of the state of the agrarian sector of the country, as well as the implementation of the National Rural Program were discussed, TDH reports.
The meeting focused on preparations for the spring agricultural season. Khakims of velayats reported on current works in the regions, including care of wheat fields, preparation for sowing cotton, potatoes and vegetable and melon crops, as well as provision of high-quality seeds and agricultural machinery.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of observing agro-technical norms, efficient use of resources and timely implementation of construction works as part of the social program aimed at improving infrastructure, including heating and water supply to residential buildings. Special attention was also paid to the construction of facilities scheduled to be commissioned in 2025.
The Turkmen head of state emphasized that successful implementation of the set tasks in the agrarian sphere is important for the socio-economic development of the country and ordered to keep under control all works, including preparation and observance of agro-technical norms, as well as uninterrupted operation of heating systems and other key social services.
Concluding the meeting, the President wished the participants good health and success in fulfilling their plans.
