President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Chairman of the Board of Governors of Toyo Engineering Corporation Haruo Nagamatsu to discuss prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation.
The Japanese businessman congratulated the Turkmen head of state on the second anniversary of the Arkadag city, which was built according to the "smart city" concept. President Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence in the success of the visit, noting that it should give a new impetus to the partnership between the countries.
As the Turkmen leader emphasized, the relations between Turkmenistan and Japan are strategic and are actively developing in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Toyo Engineering Corporation has already been cooperating constructively with Turkmenistan in the oil and gas and chemical industries. The head of state noted good prospects for expanding the partnership in new areas and expressed readiness to consider specific proposals of the Japanese corporation.
At the end of the meeting, President Berdimuhamedov wished Haruo Nagamatsu success in his work and expressed confidence in further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides.
