Ashgabat, July 15 - Arzuw.news. Turkmenistan has launched a photo contest "Amu Darya: A Look Through the Lens" timed to celebrate the Amu Darya River Day. The event is organized with the support of the regional project GIZ on water resources management. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the source.
The main purpose of the contest is to demonstrate the natural beauty and ecological significance of the Amu Darya River. Residents of Turkmenistan who have reached the age of 18 are allowed to participate in the photo contest.
The contest is held in three categories: "Landscapes", "Flora and Fauna" and "Man and River". Participants may submit up to four photos in JPEG format with a resolution of at least 300 dpi.
Applications are accepted by e-mail to amudaryariver2025@gmail.com with the obligatory note "Photo Contest - [Surname First Name]". Entries will be accepted until August 20, 2025.
The winners of the contest will receive prizes and certificates. The best photos will be presented at a special exhibition and used in the project's informational materials.
The photo contest is part of the large-scale celebration of the Amu Darya River Day, the program of which also includes workshops, children's contests and educational events.
