Ashgabat, July 18 - Arzuw.news. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave his blessing for the launch of the third oil loading berth of Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries with a capacity of 2 million 60 thousand tons of loading and 1 million 150 thousand tons of shipment of oil and oil products per year. The decision was made during the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held by the head of state on the digital system. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov reported on the completion of the construction of a new facility that will significantly increase the country's export opportunities in the oil and gas sector.
The meeting also considered issues of international cooperation. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimiradov reported on Turkmenistan's accession to the OECD documents - the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters and the Multilateral Agreement on Automatic Exchange of Information on Financial Accounts.
Foreign Minister R. Meredov presented proposals on accession to the 2017 Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and holding a CTBTO regional seminar in 2026.
Chairman of Majlis D. Gulmanova reported on preparations for the Parliamentary Forum in August this year and work on improving the legislative base of the country.
Among other issues discussed were the progress of seasonal agricultural works, preparations for the Turkmen-Japanese business forum, activities within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as modernization of the material and technical base of international airports to strengthen the transport and transit potential of Turkmenistan.
