Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan signed a memorandum

Joint statement by Turkmenistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan

National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a trilateral meeting in the tourist zone "Avaza". This is reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The leaders of the three states confirmed the strategic partnership based on centuries-old friendship and good-neighborliness. The main goal of cooperation is to strengthen peace and stability in the region.

Special attention was paid to transport and logistics interaction along the route "Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan". The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding and established a Joint Working Group to coordinate transportation and infrastructure development.

In the trade and economic sphere, they agreed to develop production cooperation through the establishment of joint ventures in the textile, chemical and construction industries. It is planned to intensify business ties through exhibitions and business forums.

The Presidents also discussed deepening cooperation in international organizations, primarily within the UN framework. The energy sector was identified as a particularly important area for trilateral cooperation.

Agreements were reached on environmental cooperation, including the fight against climate change and biodiversity conservation. The parties plan to strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties through contacts of governmental structures, educational institutions and mass media.
