Turkmenistan presented the outcomes of the LLDC3 conference to the OSCE

Implementation of the Avaza Action Program discussed on the OSCE platform

The delegation of Turkmenistan to the OSCE presented the results of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which was held in the city of Avaza. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Yesterday, Turkmen diplomats spoke about the Avaza Action Program adopted at the conference, which envisages expanding transport and trade connectivity, developing energy and digital cooperation, and building resilience to climate change.

The representatives of Turkmenistan stressed the coincidence of the objectives of the new programme with the OSCE agenda, including the activities of the Organization's Parliamentary Assembly. The main areas of the document - connectivity, sustainability and sustainable development - are in line with the OSCE's comprehensive concept of security.

The Turkmen side highlighted priority areas of interaction with the OSCE: economic connectivity through regional transport corridors, energy security, digitalization and cyber security, environmental protection and strengthening human security.

The Avaz Action Program could become a practical basis for strengthening the OSCE's work on regional stability, sustainable development and economic integration. The statement reaffirmed Turkmenistan's readiness for multilateral co-operation in promoting peace and security at the regional and global levels.
