On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagoz Gulmanova accepted credentials from the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Turkmenistan Bassam Ahmed Ali Marzouk. The Head of the Parliament congratulated the diplomat on the appointment to the high post and expressed wishes for success in strengthening the friendly relations between the two states.
The Ambassador conveyed greetings to the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain.
During the meeting, the diplomat was familiarized with the activities of the Mejlis, work on improving the national legislation and priority directions of Turkmenistan's peace-loving foreign policy. The meeting participants paid special attention to the creative initiatives of Turkmenistan in strengthening peace, stability and well-being in the world.
The sides exchanged views on a wide range of Turkmen-Bahrain interstate relations and noted the successful development of bilateral cooperation. Fruitful interaction within the framework of the UN and other international organizations was also noted.
Ambassador Bassam Ahmed Ali Marzouk assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen friendly relations between the countries based on trust and mutual respect.
