Turkmenistan takes part in the International TURKSOY Festival

From September 21 to 26, 2025, the III International Theatre Festival TURKSOY takes place in the Kazakh city of Aktau, which has been declared the cultural capital of the Turkic world. Theater groups from nine countries, including Turkmenistan, are participating in the creative show. This reports MIC.

Turkmen culture is represented at the festival by the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi State Drama Theater. The artists will present the play "Baýram han türkmen" scheduled for September 26.

In addition to competitive shows, the festival program includes business and educational events. For example, the festival included a meeting of the Board of Directors dedicated to the issues of cultural integration and development of theater art. As part of the master class "Zhanturin Talks", well-known cultural figures presented their experience.

The TURKSOY Theater Festival is aimed at strengthening cultural ties and exchange of professional experience between theater professionals from Turkic-speaking countries.
