Turkmenistan has created an application to optimize home visits by health workers

UNICEF, together with the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, is working to improve the quality of medical services for the population. Much attention is paid to maternal and child health care, which is one of the most important national priorities. In this regard, a modern digital application is currently being tested to optimize the work of mother and child home visiting services. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

UNICEF supported the development of a digital application that will enable the implementation of new standards for home visits by foster care workers.

From February 28 to March 3, staff from three selected health facilities in Turkmenistan were trained on how to use the new app. In the coming months, the new digital tool will be tested by the pioneers, after which the app will be rolled out across the country.
