Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Russia Esen Aidogdiyev presented the country at the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers on October 7 in Moscow. This was reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."
The meeting approved the Action Plan for 2024-2025 in connection with the announcement of Ashgabat as the City of New Sports Opportunities of the CIS. The plan includes championships, sports, mass and educational events. Special attention was also paid to the organization and holding of the Friendship Games competitions.
The meeting resulted in the adoption of a general statement on cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports.
The participants of the meeting approved the Plan of intermidovan political consultations for the next year, as well as measures to implement the Strategy of international youth cooperation, including the project "CIS Youth Capital". The next meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers will be held in Kazakhstan on April 11, 2025.
