Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Finland Yazmurad Seryayev took part in the inauguration ceremony of newly elected Finnish President Alexander Stubb on March 1. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The event at the Finnish Parliament building included speeches by previous President Sauli Niinistö, newly elected Head of State Alexander Stubb and Speaker of Parliament Jussi Halla-aho.
After the inauguration ceremony, the previous and newly elected Presidents of Finland met with the heads of foreign diplomatic missions at the Presidential Palace. The Ambassador of Turkmenistan expressed his sincere congratulations to the newly elected President.
In addition, the Ambassador participated in a briefing by Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen on the country's foreign and security policy.
