Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov presented the country at the first meeting of energy ministers of the Central Asian region in Astana. This is reported by the Internet edition "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".
The meeting was attended by the energy ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Almasadam Satkaliev. Within the framework of the meeting, the urgent challenges of our time were considered - issues of disruption of stability of energy supplies and fluctuations in oil and gas prices.
Chairman of the meeting Satkaliev proposed to develop methods to control the identified problems and expand cooperation in the areas of energy trade and further development of low-carbon direction. At the end of the meeting, the participants signed a communiqué on intensifying cooperation.
