A robotics competition among the country's schoolchildren organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and UNICEF will be held at School No. 97 of Buzmein district of Ashgabat from 23 to 24 September. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
School students will present projects in the following areas: Robot Race - a robot race; Manual Sumo - a competition in which robots try to push an opposing robot outside the circle in manual control mode; Auto Sumo - a competition in which robots try to push an opposing robot outside the circle in autonomous control mode; Mars Rover - a robot race with obstacles; Line Follower - a competition in which robots follow a black line on a white background. Science projects in STEM fields will also be presented.
In Turkmenistan, it is planned to create technoparks on nano-, bio-, information technologies and robotics in accordance with the Concept for the Development of the Digital Education System and the Concept for Improving the Teaching of Natural and Exact Sciences.
