Diplomats of Turkmenistan celebrated their professional holiday

Turkmenistan's diplomatic service workers took part in a scientific conference in honor of their professional holiday. The event was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the conference "Diplomacy of Turkmenistan - its present, past and future" an exhibition dedicated to the aforementioned landmark date was held. The exhibition focused on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence and the 25th anniversary of the country's neutral status. She told about the current year 2021, which is being held under the slogan "Turkmenistan is a homeland of peace and confidence.

Representatives of the diplomatic service of our state, heads of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations operating on the territory of the country, teaching staff and students of universities, community leaders, local and foreign journalists were invited to participate in the event.

Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan, opened the event by reading out a congratulatory address from the Leader of the Turkmen Nation. In his address, the Turkmen leader stressed the importance of diplomats in developing relations with other countries, emphasizing that Turkmenistan pursues a peaceful policy aimed at maintaining global security and stability, which the international community supports.

Representatives of universities, foreign diplomats, delegates of the UN and UNICEF addressed the conference. They noted the significant contribution of Turkmenistan's diplomatic figures to the expansion and strengthening of friendly ties and relations of trust both regionally and globally. In their speeches, the speakers emphasized the significant role of the President of Turkmenistan, whose international initiatives are aimed at maintaining peace and stability, as well as addressing the various challenges of our time.

The speakers also made an excursion into history, describing the achievements of the ancestors of the Turkmen, who used diplomatic principles in international relations at that time.

At the end of the event, an Address to the Leader of the Turkmen Nation was adopted, and diplomas were presented to young workers of the diplomatic service and graduates of the Institute of International Relations of Turkmenistan.
