The head of Turkmenistan gave instructions on observance of cotton sowing dates

During the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, which was held on February 23, 2024, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to observe agro-technical terms in preparing land for the cotton sowing season. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.

During the meeting, reports on measures taken to prepare lands for cotton planting, appropriate preparation of agricultural machinery and seed material were presented. In addition, it was noted that wheat crops maintenance, work on cultivation of potatoes and vegetable and melon crops continues.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to collect water from the country's reservoirs in order to provide irrigation water for agricultural crops.
