Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan meets with the President of Uzbekistan

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held talks on April 15 on the margins of the second meeting of foreign ministers of the Central Asia-Gulf Cooperation Council Strategic Dialogue in Tashkent. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the development of bilateral strategic cooperation. The growth of trade turnover, effective partnership in the field of industrial cooperation, energy, transportation and logistics, and agriculture were stated.

Within the framework of cultural and humanitarian cooperation in Uzbekistan, a number of events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi are planned this year. Preparations for the upcoming meetings were discussed, and views on the current international agenda were exchanged.
