Maternal and Child Health Center opened in southeastern Turkmenistan

A fully reconstructed Velayat Center for Maternal and Child Health Care was opened in the city of Mary in the south-east of the country. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.

Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of medical institutions and representatives of public organizations took part in the solemn event. Children who received treatment from the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care were invited. The children were presented gifts on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The Center was also equipped with two hemodialysis devices "Dialog+" (artificial kidney) from the German company B.Braun at the expense of the Fund. The renovated Center has two buildings - for women with 200 beds and for children with 260 beds. It is equipped with ultrasound, X-ray, CT, ECG, EEG and other modern diagnostic methods. The maternity department has 100 beds and 15 delivery rooms equipped with the necessary technology.
