Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan M. Mammadova reported at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers about valuable finds in the form of ancient coins of 12-13 centuries, which were discovered by local residents near the Dovkesen gengeshlik of the Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi etrap of Dashoguz province. 18 gold and 3 silver coins, as well as 61 fragments of gold coins and 8 multicolored objects were found along the route of the ancient caravan route passing through the territory of Dashoguz province. The analysis showed that some coins bear the names of Soltan Allauddin Muhammad, the ruler of the Khorezmshah state, and his father, Soltan Tekesh.
The findings are an addition to the historical information reflected in the book of the National Leader of the Turkmen people "Turkmenistan - the Heart of the Great Silk Road". Now the found coins are kept in the museum of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve "Kunya-Urgench".
