The opening ceremony of a new village Köpetdagyň ýalkymy was held in Turkmenistan's Akhal province at the foot of Mount Kopetdag. This is reported in the Telegram channel of the Internet publication "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".
The ceremony was attended by khakims of etraps and velayats, honorary elders and residents of the region. Music was played on the square in front of the village council and health house, giving the event a festive atmosphere.
Officials made a speech here. It was noted that the opening of a new village during the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence makes this event a double celebration.
In the village of Köpetdagyň ýalkymy, 400 three-, four- and five-room houses have been built. Secondary school No. 32 has a capacity of 640 pupils and kindergarten No. 20 has a capacity of 320 places.
