On Tuesday, July 9, the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums summarized the results of the elections to the Mejlis of Turkmenistan in three districts, which were held on July 7, 2024. This is reported by the online edition “Türkmenistan Habarlar Portaly".
During the session on the results of the elections, it was noted that the elections in constituencies No. 1 "Garaşsyzlyk", No. 2 "Bitaraplyk" and No. 6 "Köpetdag" fully complied with the national legislation of Turkmenistan and met the international democratic principles of openness and alternativeness. Voter turnout in the three constituencies amounted to 91,32%.
Chairman of the Election Commission of Ashgabat reported at the meeting on the work on summarizing the results of the voting of voters. For each of the districts 3 candidates were presented, from which the citizens chose one deputy with the highest number of votes. The list of elected deputies will be presented in the coming days.
