On December 18, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin held a press conference in Ashgabat. During the event, the diplomat spoke about the development of Turkmen-Russian relations and answered questions from representatives of the Turkmen media and foreign news agencies. Ivan Volynkin emphasized the significant contribution of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in strengthening the effective interstate dialogue at the highest level.
The Russian diplomat also noted the constructive nature of interaction between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation within the framework of meetings of international organizations. It was emphasized that Russia readily supports the initiatives put forward by Turkmenistan.
