Initiative groups in the Mary and Akhal velayats of Turkmenistan have nominated candidates for president

Assemblies of initiative groups of citizens of Turkmenistan's Mary and Ahal velayats presented their own candidates for the presidency.

According to the results of the forum held in Akhal velayat, Maksatmyrat Ovezgeldiev, who is currently in charge of the Babadaykhan etrap sanitary and epidemiological service, won the nomination. The candidate graduated from the Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan in 2004. He then completed an internship at the sanitary and epidemiological service of the Akhal velayat. Beginning in 2008 and throughout the following decade, M. Ovezgeldiev managed to work in a number of responsible positions in the above-mentioned structure in the Akhal etraps. In February 2018, he headed the sanitary and epidemiological service of Babadaykhan etrap.

Based on the results of the forum in Mary province, it was decided to nominate Kakageldi Sariyev, director of the Scientific and Production Center "Renewable Energy Sources" of the State Energy Institute of the country, as a candidate for the main state post. He graduated from the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan in 1999 as a mechanical engineer. Sariyev's first job was at Maryazot. After serving in the army, he worked at the Machine-Building Plant in Mary province since 2001. Since 2002, K.Saryev held a number of positions in the State Energy Institute of the country.

In characterizing the candidates, the speakers highlighted their outstanding organizational talent, high level of professionalism, extensive practical experience, and highly moral personal qualities.

The candidates thanked the citizens who had nominated them for such a high and responsible position. They assured that they were fully aware of the responsibility entrusted to them, so they intended to do everything in their power to justify the trust placed in them.
