On July 31, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Turkmenistan Elizabeth Rood conveyed warm words of greetings and best wishes from U.S. President Joseph Biden to the Head of State and National Leader of the Turkmen people and presented President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with her credentials, TDH reports.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov conveyed greetings and good wishes to the President of the United States and congratulated Ms. Elizabeth Rood on her appointment to a high diplomatic post.
The head of state noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the expansion of bilateral relations built on the basis of mutual understanding, respect and trust.
The diplomat reiterated her country's interest in strengthening traditionally friendly interstate relations and noted that it is a great honor for her to represent the United States of America in Turkmenistan.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Elizabeth Rood expressed confidence that the Turkmen-American relations will continue to develop successfully, filling them with new concrete content.
