Murad Haitov, a scholar, political scientist, and honorary Elder, prepared an analytical essay on Turkmenistan's main law. He spoke about the national model of the Constitution, which this year, on May 18, will be three decades old.
An important part of the analytical material concerned the stages of modernization of the Constitution in accordance with the peculiarities of the state-legal development of the country.
Over the past thirty years the Constitution has been reformed several times: the first time the text of the main law of the state was amended in 1995, the last modernization took place in 2020. The changes were caused by domestic and foreign political events taking place in the country.
The expert said with confidence that at present the Constitution fully retains its legal validity.
