The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Iran had a telephone conversation

Today, the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Iran had a telephone conversation, during which the head of Turkmenistan expressed deep condolences to the Iranian people in connection with the terrorist attack in Iran the previous day. A large number of civilians were reportedly killed in the attack. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

On behalf of the Turkmen people, the President of Turkmenistan expressed words of support and compassion for the injured and their families, and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.

For his part, the Iranian president thanked for the solidarity and moral support shown during this difficult time for Iran.

The heads of state noted that Turkmenistan and Iran are linked by centuries-old ties of friendship and cultural traditions. Both countries are interested in further deepening economic, trade and humanitarian ties for the benefit of their peoples.
