Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Japan held a telephone conversation

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held telephone talks with his Japanese counterpart Takeshi Iwaya on November 8, 2024. About it reports Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the conversation, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the spheres of politics and culture. The diplomats of the two countries exchanged views on strengthening economic cooperation. They stressed the importance of organizing joint committees in this direction. The Japanese side expressed interest in establishing partnership with Turkmenistan in such areas as decarbonization, "green" technologies, gas chemistry.

The sides noted the high level of relations between Japan and Turkmenistan in the political sphere.
