Issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed during the meeting of Turkmenistan's Ambassador to the UAE Serdar Garadzhayev with Iraqi Ambassador Dr. Mudhafar Al-Jbori. This is reported by the Internet edition "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".
During the meeting, the results of the visit of the Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister to Turkmenistan were discussed, during which an exchange contract was signed for the supply of Turkmen gas to Iraq via Iran.
Priority areas of cooperation were outlined, including transportation, petrochemicals, economy, culture and education. Attention was paid to participation of the Head of Iraq in the International Forum of Heads of State and Government in honor of the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli Fraghi in Ashgabat.
The UAE's participation in the forum was also a topic of discussion during a recent meeting with the head of the West Asia Department, Abdulaziz Al Neyadi.
