The Russian Ambassador in Ashgabat spoke at a scientific and practical conference

The Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin spoke at the conference "Caspian Sea - Sea of Peace and Friendship". The central theme of the Ambassador's speech was the development of multilateral Turkmen-Russian relations. This is reported on the website Centralasia.news.

The Ambassador noted that the government of Turkmenistan and Astrakhan Oblast are scheduled to hold talks to establish cooperation between the shipping structures of the Russian Federation and the international port of Turkmenbashi.

In addition, the Ambassador commented on issues requiring the participation of the Caspian littoral countries. He spoke about the planned meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Caspian littoral countries on the issues reflected in the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea. Ivan Volynkin noted that constitutional dialog is important in this issue, and the agenda of the meeting is currently being prepared.
