Medical institutions in Turkmenistan received a large shipment to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection throughout the country. The funds were paid for by the World Bank. The goods were purchased as part of the still-operational Coronavirus Response Program, which was implemented by the Government together with the Ministry of Health to reduce the possible consequences in the country due to the global pandemic. Modern medicines, items for rapid response and prevention of the spread of infection, were obtained through cooperation with the UN.
A rather large cargo has arrived in the country, which includes 16 autoclaves of 80 liters and 6 of 180 liters, in addition to which were added modern PCR tests for detection of coronavirus infection with great accuracy and speed. Back in 2021 a special project was launched in the country to build a rapid response system and prevent the spread of coronavirus in Turkmenistan. The budget for the program was taken over by the World Bank.
