Economic Cooperation Organization seeks to establish relations with the world market

The ECO regular meeting was held only online this time, but this did not prevent several important issues from being resolved during the meeting. Proposals from all members of the organization were listened to. The main goal of the meeting is the desire of everyone to develop certain methods of regulating the economy and business in the modern reality, and to reduce the consequences of the coronavirus on the state of each national economic system. For this purpose, it was proposed to pay special attention to the establishment of cooperation between the member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization.

It was highlighted that the organization is located at the crossroads of important trade routes, but has a fairly small proportion of sales in the overall global market. Only 2% of the world's investors invest in ECO member countries - a figure that is insufficient and will definitely need to be worked on. A plan of action has been defined for this - we need to invest to stimulate small and medium-sized businesses, which in the future will be able to enter the global arena.
