The Foreign Ministry held a briefing today to discuss Turkmenistan's international cooperation with health organizations.
The main topic of the meeting was the signing with UNICEF of the "Plan for procurement of vaccines and immunization equipment for 2021-2025", about which the day before a Presidential Decree was passed. From the Turkmen side the document was signed by the Head of the Ministry of Health N.Amannepesov, from the side of UNICEF - by the Head of UNICEF Office in Turkmenistan K.Weygand.
Weygand praised relations with Turkmenistan in the field of healthcare, particularly noting successes in supporting children's health. She noted that our country is a regional and global leader in vaccines.
Head of the WHO Country Office P. Karvovska told at a briefing about the high results of cooperation with Turkmenistan. EU Ambassador to Turkmenistan Diego Ruiz Alonso expressed his support for the implementation of the Turkmen government's health plans.
