On December 17, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-U.S. Business Council Eric Stewart, TDH reports.
During the meeting, the businessman emphasized the great interest of the U.S. business circles in working in the promising Turkmen market, where favorable conditions for constructive activities have been created.
Noting the great support of the international community for Turkmenistan's initiatives in the field of ecology, the businessman emphasized that environmental protection activities in Turkmenistan are the result of the state environmental policy laid down by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The appreciation of the targeted efforts of our Motherland at the international level is fully evidenced by the UN General Assembly resolutions adopted in 2024 at the initiative of Turkmenistan: "2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust", "Central Asia - Zone of Peace, Trust and Cooperation", "United Nations Friendship Games", "Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia". Speaking about it, the National Leader of the Turkmen people thanked the United States of America for its support among the first.
Being committed to the principles of neutrality, our country makes a significant contribution to the efforts of the world community to maintain global well-being and sustainable development. In this regard, it is noteworthy that in 2025 a significant date - the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's gaining the legal status of permanent neutrality - will be solemnly marked, to which a number of international events are timed, emphasized Hero-Arkadag.
As it was noted during the meeting, the United States of America is one of the key and strategic partners of Turkmenistan. In recent years, the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries have been steadily growing based on the principles of mutual respect and mutual understanding. The importance of American business circles in the context of bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, energy, agriculture and transportation was emphasized.
During the exchange of views on the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, Hero Arkadag noted with satisfaction the successful activities of American companies in strategically important sectors of the national economy, as well as the growing interest of U.S. business circles in partnership with Turkmenistan year after year.
At the end of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people reaffirmed our country's readiness for further development and meaningful enrichment of the interstate dialog and, taking the opportunity, thanked Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-US Business Council Eric Stewart for his personal contribution to the expansion of interaction between the two countries.
