During the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which was held on December 3, 2025, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov presented the draft National Action Plan to combat human trafficking for 2025-2029. This was reported by the online edition "Westiabad."
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that Turkmenistan's most important foreign policy vector is effective partnership with international organizations in the humanitarian field, particularly in the area of human rights. The country has created a solid legislative base that makes it possible to ensure high efficiency of measures to combat human trafficking. Mr. Meredov emphasized Turkmenistan's active contribution to combating this negative phenomenon.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the National Action Plan on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings for the next 5 years presented by the Deputy Prime Minister and gave Rashid Meredov a number of relevant instructions.
