Turkmenistan and China intend to expand humanitarian ties

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Ma Xingzhu, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the CPC Party Committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on Thursday, November 16. This is reported in the broadcast of the news program Watan.

During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan noted that bilateral relations between China and Turkmenistan are of strategic nature and are successfully developing in various directions. It was emphasized that the high level of trust between the heads of state and the proximity of views on topical issues on the international agenda create favorable conditions for effective interstate dialogue.

The sides also noted that China has been one of the largest foreign economic partners of Turkmenistan for many years. Partnership in the energy sector and cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere were named among the important areas of cooperation between the countries.
