Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the finalists of the Bakhshi Musicians Contest

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent congratulations to the participants of the final round of the dutar bakhshi-musicians' contest "Çalsana, bagşy!" held within the framework of the presidential award "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry". This is reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The competition takes place during the International Year of Peace and Trust, as the country celebrates the 30th anniversary of its neutrality and prepares to commemorate the 34th anniversary of its sacred independence.

In his address, the Head of Turkmenistan noted the successful implementation of large-scale reforms initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag. The President emphasized the state's special attention to the development of the national performing arts and identification of young talented bakhshi musicians.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov mentioned the Hero-Arkadag book "Bakhshi - Harbingers of People's Happiness" and listed the names of outstanding masters of the past, including Kel bakhshi, Halli bakhshi, Mukhi bakhshi, Ablyesen bakhshi, Gurban bakhshi, Garly bakhshi, Palvan bakhshi, Palta bakhshi, Bazar bakhshi, Khydir bakhshi, Girman bakhshi, Oraz salyr, Nazar baga, Nursakhet Khalsakhet, Yazmuhammet Köse, Hanmammet gidzhakchi, Oreyshikh, Baky Mashakov, Shamyrat Gurbannepesov, Juma Vellekov, Gurt Yakubov, Annageldi Julgaev and Sarykhan Sapaev.

The President emphasized the importance of dutar and gidzhak as national musical instruments and called on young performers to continue developing the national art, spreading the sounds of Turkmen music around the world.
