The President of Turkmenistan received a representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry

On May 13, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met on working issues with the Special Representative of China - First Deputy Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China Ma Zhaoxuyu, as reported by the state news agency "Turkmenistan Today".

The meeting discussed issues of the upcoming summit in the format "Central Asia - China", which will be held from May 18 to 19 this year. The PRC representative thanked the President of Turkmenistan for the warm welcome and conveyed the invitation to the Summit along with the words of greetings from President of China Xi Jinping.

During the conversation, it was noted that China and Turkmenistan actively cooperate within the framework of the UN and other international organizations. The sides have achieved fruitful cooperation in the political and diplomatic sphere, trade and economic sphere, in particular, in the fuel and energy sector.

At the end of the meeting the sides expressed conviction in continuing the further development of mutually beneficial interstate relations.
