A meeting of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO was held on Saturday, November 16, 2024. The meeting was chaired by the country's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov. About it reports Turkmenistan's Foreign Ministry.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, representatives of various sectoral departments and specialized ministries, journalists and members of public associations. The discussion touched upon a wide range of topical issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNESCO, and identified vectors for the development of cooperation for the future period.
The interlocutors emphasized such an important area of partnership between Turkmenistan and UNESCO as the environmental sphere. The topic of inclusion of Turkmenistan's natural wealth into the UNESCO World Heritage List was discussed.
