Putin congratulated Berdymukhamedov on Turkmenistan's Independence Day

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated President Serdar Berdymukhamedov on Turkmenistan's Independence Day. The congratulatory telegram was published today in the newspaper Neitralnyi Turkmenistan.

"Dear Serdar Gurbangulyevich, please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the national holiday - Independence Day of Turkmenistan. Your country is confidently moving along the path of economic and social development. Following the policy of positive neutrality, Turkmenistan makes a significant contribution to ensuring security and stability in Central Asia and the Caspian region. Relations between our states, based on the good traditions of friendship and mutual respect, have reached the level of deepened strategic partnership," the message reads.

Putin also expressed the hope that through joint efforts, Moscow and Ashgabat would ensure the further development of the whole range of mutually beneficial relations for the benefit of the peoples of Russia and Turkmenistan.

Putin wished Berdimuhamedov good health and success, and peace and prosperity to all citizens of Turkmenistan.
