Russia ready to cancel visa regime with Turkmenistan

Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Alexander Blokhin said in an interview on April 20 this year with the Russian news agency "TASS" about Russia's desire to simplify or completely cancel the visa regime with Turkmenistan.

During the conversation, Alexander Blokhin stressed that the Russian side is ready to liberalize the visa regime with Turkmenistan to the extent to which the Turkmen side is ready.

Blokhin reminded that Turkmenistan retains visa entry for absolutely all countries. This approach to security issues in the state is relevant today and is an important priority.

He emphasized that Russia would respect the decision on the visa issue, which the Turkmen side would eventually make.
