Heads of Turkmen ministries met with IAEA representatives

The heads of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan met with the IAEA leadership in the building of the headquarters of the International Agency. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting with Lidy Evrar, Deputy Director General, Head of the Nuclear and Physical Safety Department, topics related to the Convention on Early Notification of a Nuclear Accident and the Convention on Assistance in the Case of a Nuclear or Radiological Accident were covered.

A meeting was also held with Liu Hua, Head of the IAEA Technical Cooperation Department, during which the topics of development of the Country Framework Program between Turkmenistan and the IAEA were touched upon. The issues of implementation of state programs within the framework of technical cooperation and the Nuclear Safety Information Management System were discussed.
