Rustamov Readings" were held in the Turkmen Desert Institute

The National Institute of Desert, Flora and Fauna of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan held "Rustamov Readings" dedicated to the memory of academician Anver Rustamov. This was reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The event was attended by scientists-environmentalists and practitioners of nature conservation in the country. Speeches were made by Sh. Karryeva and P. Kepbanov, E. Rustamov and J. Annacharyeva. During the meeting, the possibility of establishing the first National Nature Park named after Makhtumkuli Fraghi within the framework of the Project "Strengthening the effectiveness of management of the system of specially protected natural areas of Turkmenistan" was considered. The project is implemented by UNDP jointly with the Ministry of Environment Protection of Turkmenistan with financial support of GEF.
