С. Zhaparov: trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to $82 mln.

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who arrived in Bishkek on a working visit. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the talks, the growth of trade turnover between the countries over the past two years was noted. Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the volume of trade turnover between the countries for this period amounted to about 82 million U.S. dollars.

At the same time, the high economic potential of partnership relations between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan was noted. In this regard, the parties agreed to implement projects in the field of logistics, trade and investment.

In addition, it was emphasized that the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Turkmen Commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and humanitarian cooperation is of particular importance.
At the end of the negotiations the parties stated the necessity to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
