Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on dismissal and regular military conscription

The President of Turkmenistan has signed a decree on the retirement from the Armed Forces, other troops and military bodies of Turkmenistan of military servicemen on conscription and the regular call-up of Turkmen citizens for military service, TDH reports.

In accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the Military Duty and Military Service Act, the Head of State decided to retire conscripted military personnel serving in October-December 2024 who have served the terms set out in the Military Duty and Military Service Act.

By the decree of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, citizens of Turkmenistan who have reached the age of 18 by the day of draft and who are not entitled to deferment from military service, citizens up to the age of 27 will be called up for military service in October-December 2024.

In pursuance of this Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed an order according to which the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Minister of National Security, the Head of the State Border Guard Service, the Head of the Presidential Security Service, the Chairman of the State Migration Service are ordered to discharge the military personnel who have served the military service specified in the Law of Turkmenistan "On Military Duty and in the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan".
