On January 4, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, where a number of priority issues of state life were considered, TDH reports.
Chairman of Mejlis D. Gulmanova informed about the ongoing work on further improvement of the national legislation.
It was also reported on the organized industrial practice for students of advanced training courses for civil servants of the Academy of Public Service under the President of Turkmenistan, on cooperation with foreign partners and international structures on issues of mutual interest.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mr. Kh. Geldimiradov reported on the draft Working Plans of economic, financial and banking complexes for 2025.
As noted, these plans, prepared in accordance with the President's Program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2028, outline measures to ensure macroeconomic stability in the country, development of digital economy, further introduction of modern technologies.
Along with this, Deputy Prime Minister reported on the draft work plans outlined this year on the transition to the digital system of ministries and departments of the complex in order to successfully address the tasks outlined in the Concept of Development of Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2019-2025 and the State Program of Development of Digital Economy of Turkmenistan for 2021-2025.
Having approved the working plans of economic, financial and banking sectors of Turkmenistan for 2025, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to start relevant work.
Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov reported on the draft Work Plans for 2025 of oil and gas sector agencies.
According to these plans, the State Concerns "Türkmengaz" and "Türkmennebit" have set tasks on deep development of oil and gas fields, production of natural and associated gas, oil and gas condensate, production of liquefied gas, export of Turkmen "blue fuel", as well as deep processing of oil and supply of oil products to domestic and foreign consumers.
The State Corporation "Türkmengeologiýa" plans to carry out activities on identification of oil and gas rich formations, search for solid minerals and underground water, increase their reserves, on wide introduction of advanced scientific achievements and innovative technologies into production.
At the same time, among the main tasks are the phased development of the "Galkynyş" gas field, which is one of the leading in the world in terms of "blue fuel" reserves, and the construction of an important link in the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline - the Serhetabat-Herat section, called "Arkadagyň ak ýoly".
Summarizing the report, he stressed that the fuel and energy industry is one of the key segments of the national economy. In this regard, it is necessary to increase the production potential of specialized enterprises, introduce modern technologies and take comprehensive measures in this direction.
Having approved the submitted Work Plans for the oil and gas complex, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out relevant work.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mr. T. Atakhallyev reported on the prepared drafts of Work Plans for the agricultural sector for 2025, which outline measures for the successful solution of tasks set for the relevant ministries and departments.
It is envisaged to widely implement the digital system in sectoral ministries and agencies and further improve their legal framework.
Having approved the 2025 Work Plans for Agriculture, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to carry out proper work in this direction.
Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annamammedov reported on the draft working plans of ministries and sectoral departments of the construction-industrial complex of the country and the khakimlik of Ashgabat for 2025, according to which it is envisaged to control the quality of work on the construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities, providing construction sites and other sectors of the national economy with construction materials, construction of new modern specialized enterprises and reconstruction of existing ones.
Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N. Atagulyev reported on the draft Work Plans of ministries and sectoral departments of the trade complex for 2025.
As noted, they provide for measures to further ensure commodity abundance and price stability in the domestic market, to improve the activities of the trade industry in accordance with the requirements of the time, to maximize and effectively use the production capacity of the textile industry, to strengthen the position of the private sector in the national economy, to expand trade and economic relations with foreign countries, etc.
Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Mammadova reported on the draft working plans for the current year in the field of culture, in which it is planned to hold various events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan and the proclamation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust".
Emphasizing the importance of thorough preparations for the upcoming events on the occasion of declaring 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust", the President of Turkmenistan approved the submitted Work Plans and ordered to carry out the relevant work.
Then the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Orazdurdyeva reported on the prepared draft Work Plans of supervised spheres for 2025.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to continue to pay special attention to the upbringing of an educated young generation, strengthening the material and technical base of the education sector, strict control over the implementation of program measures to improve the health care system, development of physical culture and sports.
Having approved the working plans for the spheres of science, education, health, sports and public organizations for 2025, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to start relevant work.
Then the floor was given to the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov, who reported on the draft National Action Plan to Combat Trafficking in Human Beings in Turkmenistan for 2025-2029.
Summarizing the report and emphasizing that Turkmenistan pursues a peace-loving neutral policy, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that comprehensive work to ensure human rights and freedoms is being carried out in our independent Motherland. Human trafficking is one of the important and acute global problems. Therefore, our country needs to cooperate with the international community in a coordinated manner in combating and preventing human trafficking.
Speaking about it, the head of state approved the Action Plan on Combating Human Trafficking in Turkmenistan for 2025-2029 and gave instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
Then Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev reported on the prepared Work Plans for 2025 for the structural units of the supervised complex, according to which this year it is envisaged to continue the construction of modern railway and highway stations, air harbors, as well as marine vessels, industrial and social facilities, strengthening of the specialized material and technical base.
Having approved the Work Plans of the Transport and Communications Complex, the Head of State instructed the head of the Agency to carry out proper work.
Then, addressing the members of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that 2025 has been proclaimed the "International Year of Peace and Trust". This year, the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality will be solemnly celebrated. A number of international events are planned to be held in our country and abroad on the occasion of this significant date.
In this regard, the head of state signed the document "On Establishment of the Organizational State Committee for holding high-level events on the occasion of declaring 2025 the "International Year of Peace and Trust" and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality.
The meeting also considered a number of other important issues of state life, on which appropriate decisions were made.
