Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers

On September 20, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, during which topical tasks of the country's socio-economic development were discussed, drafts of a number of documents and some other issues were considered, TDH reports.

Members of the State Security Council, khakims of velayats and Ashgabat city were also invited to the meeting.

During the meeting, Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense, Chairman of the Commission on Preparation of Proposals on Citizenship and Pardon under the President of Turkmenistan B. Gundogdiyev reported on the results of the Commission's work on pardoning citizens convicted of crimes but sincerely repented of their crimes to mark the 33rd anniversary of the sacred independence.

Having heard the report, the head of state, following a noble tradition, signed a decree on pardoning 736 convicted citizens of the country on the occasion of Turkmenistan's Independence Day.

Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdiyev has been instructed to work together with the heads of law enforcement agencies to ensure that pardoned citizens released from prison are soon at home with their families.

The head of Turkmenistan wished the released citizens to work hard, sincerely serve the Motherland and live an honest life.

Then the Chairman of Mejlis D. Gulmanova informed about the ongoing legislative activities, past meetings, the preparations for the upcoming national forum Halk Maslakhaty.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimiradov reported on the construction of oncology hospitals in Balkan, Lebap and Mary velayats.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov said that as a result of drilling works at the field of Lebap velayat, a commercial inflow of gas was obtained, which will increase the production of "blue" fuel.

Further, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev reported on the measures being implemented in the agro-industrial complex, as well as on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in velayats

At present, in connection with the growing demand for ferroalloys in the country and abroad, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annamammedov reported on the ongoing work on the construction of a plant for its production in Turkmenistan. In this context, a relevant proposal was submitted to the head of state for consideration.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Atdayev reported on the activities undertaken to increase exports and foreign trade turnover of the country.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Mammadova reported on the order of the main activities and commissioning of social and cultural facilities in October this year.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan B. Orazdurdyeva reported on the ongoing work to prepare the national teams of Turkmenistan to participate in the XXXIV Summer Olympic Games and XVIII Summer Paralympic Games to be held in Los Angeles (USA) in 2028.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the issues of admission to citizenship of Turkmenistan and granting residence permits in our country.

In turn, Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev reported on the ongoing work on international road transportation, increasing the volume of transit cargo, as well as expanding the range and improving the quality of cargo transportation services by road.

Then, addressing the participants of the extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the coming week will see significant events in the country - a meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty, celebrations in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the independence of the Fatherland.

Also in October of the year "The Treasure of Makhtumkuli Fraghi's Mind" a number of events are planned. In particular, Ashgabat will host the International Forum on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi "Interconnection of times and civilizations - the basis of peace and development". It is expected to be attended by high-ranking guests.

In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan ordered to take the necessary organizational measures and signed an order to establish an Organizing Committee to hold this international forum at a high level.

At the meeting of the Government a number of other issues of state life were also considered, on which appropriate decisions were made.
