An online press briefing for Central Asian journalists was held today, April 3, featuring Dr. Daniel Singer, Regional Director for Central Asia at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Joshua Carnes, Director of the Office of Health and Education in Central Asia at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). During the hour-long briefing, CDC and USAID representatives spoke about the U.S. government's efforts to combat COVID-19 and answered several questions from Central Asian journalists attending the briefing.
