The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation in Q3 2021 exceeded $300 million.

According to the information of the Customs of the Russian Federation, in the third quarter of 2021 there was a positive trend in trade between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation. Thus, the trade turnover between the countries reached $343,810,230 (+98.75% compared to the second quarter of 2020).

Export volumes of Russian products to Turkmenistan in the analyzed period increased by 118.82% compared to the comparable period of last year, reaching $321,015,336. At the same time, Turkmen imports to Russian partners during the mentioned period amounted to $22,794,894 (-13.27% compared to Q2 2020). As of July-September 2021, Russia's trade balance with Turkmenistan was at $298,220,442, which is 147,65% higher than in the second quarter of 2020.

In the second quarter of this year, Turkmenistan increased its share in Russia's foreign trade turnover to 0.1649% and thus rose from 72nd to 66th position. As for Turkmenistan's share in Russian exports, Turkmenistan moved up to 56th position with 0.2407% in Q3 of this year compared to 61st position in Q3 2020. 2020. The indicator was equal to 0.1865% then.

Russia's imports of Turkmen goods in terms of share decreased slightly, from 0.0454% (Q3 2020) to 0.0304% (Q3 2021), which caused Turkmenistan to drop from 80th to 86th position.
