Turkmen delegation participates in the Asia-Pacific Forum in New Delhi

A delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Commissioner for Human Rights, Ombudsman Ya. Gurbannazarova paid a working visit to India to participate in the 28th Meeting and Conference of the Asia-Pacific Forum of National Human Rights Institutions dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 30th anniversary of national human rights institutions and the Paris Principles. This was reported by the Turkmenistan: Golden Age online publication.

The working visit of the Turkmen delegation was organized by the UNDP office in Turkmenistan. The Ombudsman familiarized the participants with Turkmenistan's experience in the protection of human rights and freedoms, as well as with the work carried out jointly with APF.

Turkmenistan's participation in events organized by APF gives Turkmen specialists an opportunity to learn about successful foreign experience in the field of human rights protection and to share their own practices in the area of legal protection.
