Representatives of scientific and educational circles of Turkmenistan paid a working visit to the Kingdom of Spain this month as part of the plan of events timed to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and poet of the East Makhtumkuli Fraghi. This is reported by the daily Neutral Turkmenistan.
The participants of the events were famous orientalists of Spain, writers, representatives of scientific and educational circles of the Kingdom, archeologists. The meeting with Turkmen figures of science and education was held at the Center for the Study of Arabic Manuscripts in Granada.
A creative evening to mark the anniversary of Makhtumkuli Fraghi was also held in Granada, during which the poet's poems in Turkmen and Spanish were performed. An exhibition of publications of the great philosopher was organized as part of the evening.
The Turkmen delegation also took part in a scientific conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the poet.
